Leading Parent Partnership Award
With the success we have had with our home school link worker, Mr Fantauzzo, we have decided to work towards achieving the national accreditation of Leading Parent Partnership Award. This recognises the work and efforts by the school to ensure good partnerships with parents and so improving outcomes for children.
If you do have anything you would like to talk to us about, please contact Mrs Woolley or Mr Fantauzzo
Final Verification Morning
A BIG thank you to everyone who participated in the LPPA verification morning. Mr Weaver spoke very positively about the school and about the parents, teachers and governors that he met. A special thank you to the parents who gave up their time to come and talk about their own experiences with us. We are awaiting the final report and will let you know of the outcome at celebration assembly (all being well !).
A big thank you to all parents who attended the Harvest morning on 7th October. There were lots of fun-filled activities on offer including pumpkin carving and garlic sowing! Many thanks to all who filled in evaluation sheets.
Parent Voice Meeting
A very big thank you to the parents that attended and contributed to our Parent voice meetings on Thursday, 13th October. Our topic was uniform and generally parents felt there was no issues with the uniform. Any suggestions will be taken to governors.
Feedback from the meeting is given via the newsletter and show suggestions and actions. The date for our spring meeting will be given shortly.
Year 3 Sign Language Session
Our year 3 pupils have been learning a different kind of language this term- sign language! We invited parents along to come and see what the sessions are all about and they loved it so much, that it has been suggested that parents learn a Christmas song with the children for celebration assembly. We think this is a wonderful idea. Letters have gone out and we encourage you to come along to the last three sessions to learn with your child. The more the merrier!
Parent Voice Meeting- Tuesday, 17th January 2017
Our focus for this term's Parent Voice meeting is going to be a 'Story Sack' making workshop. This was suggested at the last meeting and we think it is a wonderful idea. So if you feel that you could help with this then please come along - 9.00-10.15. We may organise further sessions to complete the resources.
